The latest G-Unit Soldier Paris is on the new issue of Smooth Magazine.
But with skills like her, has not left Queens rapper Paris coming to their appearance.

You’re from Southside Jamaica, Queens. What was it like growing up there?
It was pretty much survival of the fittest. Growing up there makes you a little cold. When people smile at you, you’re not sure how to take it. If you smile back, they might take things too far. My neighborhood keeps me on guard to this day.

When did you get interested in music?
Ever since I can remember, my father was into music. He had his own studio. I freestyled for the first time when I was five years old. I was also really into singing, but I was always a poet, so I took to rapping more.

So music is pretty much in your blood.
Yes, it is. I’ve been blessed to know what I wanted to do from an early age. I never had a problem finding myself. At three years old, I was telling people that I wanted to be a star when I grew up. I don’t know where I would be without music.
